Cryptocurrency scammers have extorted more than 900,000 rubles from a Russian citizen. A resident of Omsk tried to buy bitcoins through an online platform, but did not receive the cryptocurrency.

As the 46-year-old resident of Omsk told, she registered on a certain Internet platform on which she was going to buy bitcoins. From November 16 to December 4, 2020, it transferred a total of 907,000 rubles to the platform. However, she never received BTC. According to the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Omsk region, now law enforcement agencies are conducting an inspection.

Recall that at the end of November, a resident of the city of Yarovoye turned to the police of the Altai Territory with a similar statement. He tried to make money on trading cryptocurrencies and lost 1.5 million rubles. In March, a resident of Tashtagol gave 790,000 rubles to fraudsters – the criminals seduced the woman with promises of large profits from investments in cryptocurrencies.
