Wirex has announced a multi-currency payment card with support for 19 crypto assets and world currencies, which will be issued with the approval of the Mastercard payment system.
Wirex, the cryptocurrency debit card Issuer that became the first cryptocurrency company to directly issue Mastercard payment cards for its customers, has announced the release of a multi-currency payment card. Wirex Card will be issued with Mastercard support and linked to 19 accounts in the Wirex app. An official release date has not yet been announced.
In an effort to encourage the use of cryptocurrency for everyday payments, the company is also upgrading Its existing cryptoback rewards program. As part of the program, users receive up to 1.5% of the amount of each purchase in BTC back to their account. Now cashback will be increased to 2% for online and offline purchases.
Ahead of the launch of the payment card, Wirex is also introducing several other new features in partnership with LHV, a payment solutions company. In the European economic area, new features include support for five currencies: Croatian Kuna, Czech Krona, Polish zloty, Romanian LEU and Hungarian Forint.
Wirex is regulated by the UK financial conduct Authority (FCA) and is licensed to issue payment cards in the EU. The service allows users from 130 countries to spend their cryptocurrencies and Fiat currencies using a Visa payment card and a mobile app.
