ConsenSys, a startup working on the development of the Ethereum ecosystem and having more than 30 divisions in different countries, announced the closure of branches in India and the Philippines.
ConsenSys co-founder and CEO, Joe Lubin, sent letters to employees of the offices in India and the Philippines notifying them of the closure of these divisions. ConsenSys employees in India confirmed the closure of the division.
“A total of 11 posts will be cut in India and the Philippines. This is due to the redistribution of sales and services teams in these countries,” said Kara Miley, a representative of ConsenSys.
Recall that at the end of December last year, ConsenSys has already reduced its staff. As Vanessa Grellet, ConsenSys Executive Director for entrepreneurship and social impact, said at the time, the cuts affected only 10% of the staff.
