China’s national Blockchain Service Network (BSN) platform has expanded the list of supported projects and integrated Polkadot, Oasis, and Bityuan.
The Chinese government-backed Blockchain Service Network project has announced the integration of Polkadot, Oasis, and Bityuan on its platform. The goal of BSN is to combine multiple blockchains into a single standardized development environment within its own technical base.
BSN also aims to provide data processing and storage services for in-network projects. The platform was launched on April 25 with the support of the Chinese government, and in July, the developers said that BSN will support more than 100 open blockchains.
In September, the platform added support for Tezos, Algorand, ShareRing, and Solana, and previously for Chainlink and Cosmos. Björn Wagner, co-founder of Parity Technologies, which develops Polkadot, said:
“We expect Polkadot to be used by developers around the world to create and launch innovative protocols and applications. BSN integration will support developers along the way, allowing them to seamlessly connect to the public network.”
The Polkadot project joins the BSN Open Permissioned Blockchain Initiative to provide services in the Chinese market. BSN integrates Polkadot’s Substrate infrastructure with a set of tools that developers can use to create decentralized applications.
In addition, developers of decentralized applications in BSN will have access to the Oasis network, which helps create scalable DeFi applications. The Director of the Oasis Foundation Jernej KOs (Jernej Kos) said:
“The Oasis Network’s privacy features will also help create a new type of digital asset, the so-called tokenized data, which gives users the ability to control their data and earn rewards for hosting it.”
BSN also integrates support for the Bityuan project, which aims to provide blockchain-based solutions to companies in China.
