The Venezuelan divisions of the popular American pizza Hut chain have started accepting payments in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
Pizza Hut used the services of Latin American companies CryptoBuyer and MegaSoft to accept cryptocurrency payments. The firms already provide relevant services in 20,000 shops and cafes in the country. Pizza Hut’s CEO in Venezuela, Richard ElKhouri, said::
“Pizza Hat goes hand in hand with innovative technology and technological progress, especially when it comes to daily needs. It is very important to attract young people, modern adults and technologically advanced customers.”
American Pizza Hut cafes are located in the capital of the country, Caracas, as well as in the major cities of Maracay, Maracaibo and Barquisimeto. Pizza Hut customers in Venezuela will be able to pay for pizza using BTC, LTC, DASH, BNB, BUSD, ETH, USDT, DAI and XPT tokens.
Earlier this year, the Venezuelan division of the fast food chain Burger King also signed an agreement with the company CryptoBuyer, under which cafe customers will be able to make payments in cryptocurrency.
