Several people reported on the social network Facebook about the death of Timofey Musatov, a lawyer defending Alexander Vinnik.
Sergey Smolin was the first to report the tragic death of a “friend, international lawyer and human rights defender”.
A little later, the former partner of Timofey Musatov, Denis Goldberg, expressed his condolences to the family, friends and relatives of the deceased. According to his entry and the comments below, the lawyer’s death was an accident.
At the moment, there are no details about the death of a man who for the past few years defended Alexander Vinnik, accused of laundering $4 billion.
The law firm FjM International Solicitors & Lawyers, in which Musatov was a senior partner, confirmed his death as a result of an accident, but declined to comment in detail.
We will remind that recently Russian diplomats sent a note to the French foreign Ministry with a request to transfer Alexander Vinnik under house arrest due to the poor condition of the accused and the threat of coronavirus.
