The new York division of the us immigration and customs police has added the head of the Venezuelan national cryptocurrency project Petro to the list of most wanted individuals.
Joselit de la Trinidad Ramirez Camacho (Joselit de la Trinidad Ramirez Camacho) was one of several Venezuelan officials who were accused of “having deep political, social and economic ties with numerous alleged drug lords.” The same charge was made against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro. The Agency’s message reads:
“Ramirez Camacho is currently the head of a Venezuelan cryptocurrency project, and has been charged in the southern district of new York with violating the international economic emergency powers Act and other sanctions imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department’s office of foreign assets control (OFAC).”
For information that leads to the capture of Ramirez Camacho, the us authorities are ready to pay a reward of up to $5 million. Recall that in February of this year, businessmen who own retail stores in Venezuela called the Petro cryptocurrency a “Scam” and said they did not want to work with it.
